How cats see the world?

Cat vision is slightly different from human vision not only because of difference in colour range, but also because of how the world is seen by them. Cats can see some colours. Some scientist say they can see only blue and grey and some say that they can also see yellow. That's because cats have 10 times less cones, cells that are responsible for distinguishing colours, than humans. Apart from difference in colour range there are some other differences. Cats are less sensitive to changes in brightness, that’s why they see colours less vibrant. They are also more near-sighted and are better than humans at detecting motions. Both abilities come from their natural hunting ability. Cats see better at dim light or dust compered to humans. In conclusion cats’ vision is a little bit different from humans’. There are differences in colours that are detected by them, sensitivity to brightness and detecting motions. link: https://vcahos...

Cats communicate using eye talk and tail talk, which can be sometimes confusing for people to understand. They can show their emotional state or health condition with their fur. Suddenly fluffed coat can mean fear or aggression, while unkempt fur can indicate that cat is ill, since cats are self-grooming animals. Smells and scents are really important for cats, because they are territorial. With their scents they mark territory. That’s why cats often rub against furniture and people. They also employ urine and faces marking. To sum up, cats communicate wit...
