Dozens injured in Iran protests after death of Mahsa Amini

Over 30 people were injured during the protests in Iran. After the death of Mahsa Amini, 22-year-old women, that was arrested and supposedly beaten by morality police in Teheran, demonstrations occurred in Iran. Amini was picked up by police while visiting Teheran with her brother for supposedly not complying with Iran’s hijab regulations. She died after collapsing in the detention centre. Authorities claimed that she died due to a heart condition, however her family denied, by saying that Amini had never suffered from any heart disease. About one thousand people went to her funeral. People started protesting, outraged by Mahsa Amini’s history. Demonstrations gathered also outside the Saqquz governor’s office, where security forces used pepper spray against people protesting, causing injuries to more than 30 people, to some of them even serious ones.
