300 villagers killed in massacre by rebels
About 300 people died in an attack on villagers in eastern Democratic Republic of Kongo. The army accused the M23 rebel group of killing at least 50 civilians in Kishishe village, before the government put number of dead at more than 100. Insurgents has rejected accusations and said that 8 civilians were killed due to “stray bullets”. Government spokesman Patrick Muyaya said that all of the victims were civilians and that at least seventeen of them were children. He also said that it is difficult to break down the data in full given the area was as he said “under M23 occupation”. M23 or the March 23rd movement is a rebel group that was dormant for years. It took up arms again in November last year. It is sad that so many innocent people died, some of them being kids.

It doesn't seem like kids' life has much value in some places.
